I had gone to a school in Costa Rica with the assistance of the NRCSA in 1995 - and that had been a good experience. For this trip I again wanted the opportunity to live with a Spanish-speaking family in a comfortable home -- and I had a lovely experience with the family with which the school placed me in Quito. The school experience was also very positive -- the teacher was knowledgeable and helpful - and I enjoyed working with her to improve my Spanish.
